How Is The Course Organized?The entire course uses 80 problem-based learning (PBL) cases organized by 20 body organ systems. Students can take the course on a continuous basis or can be flexible to suit their time-table. There will be an online exam at the end of each case. At the end of 80 cases, the MMedSc degree is awarded. Summary exams are also available. Those who do not want to complete the entire course can also do individual cases and get a certificate of completion for an organ system. Using the European Credit Transfer System this amounts to about 1,800 hours of study. It was used by hundreds of postgraduate doctors and nurses. The program was presented at a national conference about postgradualte education and voted second best of about 30 competing progams (one on reading ECGs was number one).
